Dear brothers and sisters in Christ
Peace of the Risen Christ be with you!
Holy Week has come and gone but we are not without things to do. In fact, we just managed to schedule in, within the period of the Novemdiales, a memorial Mass for the repose of the soul of the late Pope Francis on Monday.
What we recognise and acknowledge is that the priests in the Cathedral are nothing without you. Therefore, we would like to give thanks to the Lord for your help, support and most of all your love.
Thank you to the liturgical committee and the key players who planned and executed the celebrations—the Sacristan, the choirs, the musicians, the lectors, the commentators, hospitality ministers, the altar servers, the artist who painted the Easter candle, the youths who sold the candles, the flower ladies. Thank you to the members of the Catechetical ministry who had journeyed with the Elect who were baptised and those completing their initiation in the Church. Thank you for without your coordinated cooperation, chaos could only ensue. With gratitude let us praised the Lord and give thanks to Him for His blessings.
“Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thess 5:16-18)
God bless,
Padre
